8 Dec 2011 - The Freedom Alliance foundation hosted their annual Defenders of Freedom Award Dinner. Nearly 400 people saw Navy Captain Perry "Pete" Van Hooser receive the Defender of Freedom Award for his lifetime of service to our country - first as a United States Marine and then as a Navy Seal. The event was held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Author is pictured with Col. Ollie North, Co-founder and Honorary Chairman of Freedom Alliance. See the Photo Gallery for more pictures.
29 Nov 2011 - The author was at the Union League, Philadelphia, to support the Richard D. Winters Leadership Project to rasie money for a statue to be erected in Ste. Marie du Mont on 6 Jun 2012 in honor of all the combat leaders in the Normandy campaign. The event was sponsored by the World War II Foundation and attended by celebrities and members of the cast of Band of Brothers. See the Photo Gallery for pictures.

24 Oct - The Last Jump is a fascinating novel. The author builds suspense by flashing back and forth to World War II as he tells the story of a son searching to find the true story of his father's service record. The book is well written, the action accounts are gripping, and all in all a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. -- Emmett Lang - WWII Veteran and Author of Always A Soldier.
